Over in the boat forum here there is a discussion of the new Supreme that will be introduced at Expo. The V is pretty significant, similar to the Avy. Someone posted a transome comparison picture of the Supreme, and I think an Avy (don't quote me on that).

Think the Supreme will toss a good surf wake?

The yellow boat is an AVY. I see slight differences but they appear to be very close. The vertical line on the AVY is smooth. Just above the swim platform to the left you can see a break in the vertical line on the supreme.

i think both boats are made at the same factory in merced? could be?

I do believe that's correct b. I went to the factory many moons ago and was told Fineline Industries manufactured Supreme and Centurion. I think that the Epic is manufactured there now, too.

The V sure looks like an AVY, I'd bet that it throws a decent surf wake...we'll have to wait and see.

I think it will be great to see another surf boat. From what I've read elsewhere, the same guy that designed the new Enzo, designed this Supreme. Hopefully we'll get to see some wake pics or vid after EXPO

Looks promising. It allways come to my mind - when we will see boat designed exclusively for wakesurfing? Nobody did it yet? DIY at home? Yes hull design and hydrodynamic is not easy but we all dream about barrel machine. So who will start research first? On small model?

Regular tow boat need to go fast to get to the riding spot quickly, tow skier, tow wakeboarder, tow inflates and then also lean on one or other side, go insanely slow to create some wave. I think there is huge disproportion between these use and result is only compromise with worst result for wakesurfing. So what can be done: create some slow specialized wave maker, some unidentified pod, some instant wavemachine or create a boat which can go faster and then work nicely in slow speeds with special adjustable device for huge wave...

I don't quite think the market is ready for a surf only boat. I know that the Enzo's have been doing well and while marketed and know as THE surfing boat, it also works well for wakeboarding when you want to do that. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a surf only boat that could talk on enough ballast to list either side properly for a nice rideable wake with having to fill up any extra seats. But I still its a ways away before we see a true surfing only boat

I understood that the Enzo was designed as a wakeboarding boat. The Enzo just happens to be a very good surf hull. I've yet to wakeboard behind my Enzo. I have pulled other wakeboarders. With only a small crew and no ballast the wakeboard wake that we've had for a few other riders looks pretty nice.

Centurion has a Surf Enzo but as far as I can tell it's only graphics. No new surf features.

I agree that market is not ready but we are. So its on us. But who wants and can experiment with boat building? It is not impossible and extremely expensive. Start with models then with small boat and then go bigger with final concept. People build huge boats for thousand years.

Why cant there be a surf set boat, v drive, quick fill ballast, wave enhancer, small rear platform, sideswipe exhaust, for 30,000?

$30,000? I don't think you'll see that.
