My first thought is this guy's upside down in debt with the boat. I knew a guy that made payments for nearly a year after selling.
If not, than how over priced is the market??. It's getting to the point where if I do buy another boat; Skier's Choice, Sanger, or Centurion will be the only that I consider. Nothing bad... just not enough difference in quality and performance to justify the price.

paul,
Are you talking about MCboats? they have sold a few xstars in the upper 90s

I don't remember the name of the dealer. It has been a while back. Selling Stars for 90k is just plain ripping people off. They should loose their licence or something.

Fatsac ~ Just wondering...Do you know what your personal quate means??

My guess is you don't but I got to ask!

This is nothing guys.. Here in Norway a used 2004 X-Star would cost up to $170000. And the gas price is about $6.8 pr. gallon! Do you think we guys can afford new boats? Nope! hehe

Paul,
They are the only dealership in arkansas, so you have at least a 2.5 - 5 hour drive to find another dealership. and about losing their license. they were the dealership of the year a couple years back, and they have been in the top ten dealerships for customer service every year since they opened in 97

Wow Ed... very typical post. Yes, I am well aware of the meaning and for the record, you have a very nice boat.

SO you agree that hosing people by charging 20+k over market is ok, because they are the only dealer in AR

simply overpriced....
Old    natlchamp2k4            05-09-2005, 3:18 PM Reply
just my opinion here, but i think i had rather buy a 2005 x-star than pay 10k more for a used boat that is in a sense less wakeboard specific, just me though

Anybody think maybe it is a misprint and that it might be 37k instead of 73k. X30's arent 73 brand new, much less two years old.

I believe it's actually supposed to be spelled: vEni, vidi, vici: I came, I saw, I conquered.

PS. Ed: quate is actually spelled quote.

I'm sorry Stanfield, that was a type-o,but you are right...I thought you were a piece officer not a English teacher.

You are right again Stanfield but I don't think I asked you and since you are so smart,do you know where that phrase came from?

37K would be one hell of a deal on that boat. And yes, the new '06 does cost that much MSRP

Mastercraft only allows dealers to post MSRP on the web. Some dealers don't abide by the rules but many do (like MC of AR). In most cases actual transaction prices are much, much less. I looked at an X-9 at the boat show this year that stickered at 55K and was selling at the boat show for low $40s. The boat trader add could be a dealer bound by MC policy..............

Wasn't it the announcement that Julius Ceaser made to the senate after his victory over Pharnaces.
