Specifically the liquid force union bindings. They look a lot like ultra sucs. My younger brother and I both ride 136 mareks and he wants some bindings like my 05 ultras. If the unions that LF makes for kiteboarders are the same it would be cool.

I dont know. I'll look into it. OK I looked. The supers havent been made since '03.

The kiteboard binding I am talking about look to be exactly the same as Ultras just with a different name on them.

I'll call LF Monday.

as long as you can put the bindings on with one hand you should be alright(you have to fly the kite with the other), i'm going to try to kite with my board also it should be big enough

Chris, they are almost identical, except I think the Ultras have a extra under wrap. Kiteboarders who cant afford new Unions typically just buy used Ultras and remove the extra wrap.

Jason, thanks thats what I was looking for. I guess it I should not buy my brother the unions for wake boarding then. He probably needs the extra under wrap for support.

i have the unions on my kiteboard. i don't expect those things to last the season. when you unscrew the straps to adjust for your size preference, you'll find they are just screwed in with wood screws into the bottom of the boot. the screws have already started ripping the holes they're screwed in because of a lack of a reinforcing eyelet. thats after less than a handful of sessions

second jo shmoe - Being able to get the bindings back on easily is critical.

I have tried kiteboarding, have not been sucessful at it. I have a small trainer kite that I can fly no problem at all. My son bought a kiteboard kite and I have tried it. I can drag in the water with it (first step) and even make a little way up wind (essential for recovering a lost board) but trying to put the board back on and keep the kite flying.......

I am hoping to try again here in a few weeks.

Rod
