Zach- I heard from USA Wakeboard there definately is some scholarships for wakeboarding "in the works". This was last summer at their annual meeting it was mentioned. I do not know if they materialized yet or not but look for one of the recent Pan Am threads and PM Janifer Ellis and she could tell you more, but they are definately working on them. Hopefully in the next few years.

INT has a scholarship program called the George Chicarilli Memorial Scholarship.

About the Scholarship: George Chicarilli founded Straight Line, and later worked for Proline ropes. He pioneered the development of ropes and handles, with his innovative and colorful ideas. George believed in the INT League and supported our efforts from the beginning. George lost his battle with Cancer, but his memory lives on through this Scholarship Award. At the 1999 U.S. Championships one of George's first sales reps. presented the 1st Annual George Chicarilli Memorial Scholarship, and the tradition lives on!
Thanks to the generous donations of many of our National and Local Sponsors, and independent donors, we will present three $1000 scholarships at the 2007 US Championships Banquet. One scholarship will be awarded to an INT League participant in the first-sixth grade, a second scholarship to a participant in the seventh-twelfth grade, and a third to a college student.
To Enter the Scholarship Contest: All entrants must submit an essay stating: " How the INT League has affected my life," along with a copy of your latest report card or official transcript for the college level scholarship showing participant is maintaining at least a "B" or 3.0 grade point average or better. The college level essay should be minimum 500 words. Scholarship entrants must be an INT Member.
Please send all essays to: The INT Scholarship Committee. PO Box 359, Black Diamond, WA 98010. Essays must be received by September 1.
