So I go check on my boat (06 Supra 21V) today after the freeze this week in Dallas, TX to make sure everything is OK. Everything looks good until I turn on the stereo and my Left 2 tower speakers (JL Audio) are humming like crazy. I turned down the volume all the way and the noise is still there. As soon as I turn the stereo switch off, the noise goes away. Only the Left Tower speaker cones were vibrating like mad even with the volume all the way down.

Any ideas what could cause this?

It was working fine last Wednesday when I pulled the drain plugs, etc on the motor and V-drive for the freeze.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Will

did you have moisture in the boat when you put it away that may have affected your amps? Did you feel them and see if there was any condensation on them?

A charging battery or a Low charge on your battery may
cause some buzzing.

Took the boat in to the Stereo shop and they disconnect all the RCA's on the amp and reconnect, problem solved. No more noise. Go figure. I guess I will mess with the wires next time before I have to tow the boat to the shop again. thanks to everyone that chimed in.
