My fiancée' and I are flying out to the Denver area next week to narrow down our house/property search, and hopefully lock something down for our move. I was hoping to check out a couple lakes while we are there. I was wondering if anyone is heading out to Standley Lake or Boulder Reservoir sometime between next Wednesday and Sunday. If so, let me know, I’d appreciate the 411. We won’t be riding but we wanted to check the lake(s) out.

Also, after looking into the process, we have pretty much decided to dredge an existing lake or build a new one. If anyone knows of any property that has an existing lake, or would be ideal to dig one, let me know. We already have a short list of lakes and properties around Longmont, and east of Boulder, and will be checking out a few others while we are there, but if anyone has some good recommendations, I’d be happy to let you ride once we dredge or dig. Comparatively, I can’t believe how much easier it is to dig a lake in Colorado vs California. In less than a year or two, you can be up and running.
