I can't figure out why I can't stay in the wrapped/blind position. Cuffed (with 2 hands behind back) is real easy for me, even cutting out and back. I can get in the blind position and once the rope tension hits I spin back around.

Is there a trick to this? I know to look backwards (away from the boat) and weight the tail of the board, but I can seem to hold it. Also I ride most boards finless. Is it easier with fins or bigger fins?

I've seen in videos that some people can ride blind and others snap around like me. Just wondering why.

Are there any drills to help me with learning this?

I'm still learning with you. I gave up for a while (tired of getting pulled around on my back) but will probably give this some more play now that the water temp is dropping here in MN.

Sure am jealous of you guys out West this time of year!

Seth, If you figure it out let me know. Although I might before you; me being in Arizona. We ride all year here. Nothing but board shorts from Apr-Nov and then I have a drysuit for Dec-Mar.
