Hey all just purchased a 2010 liquid force venture 5'6. paid $269. I just recently bought a new supreme v208. I have only surfed twice but love wakeboard. this is our first wakesurf board and wanted something that the whole family could start with and wouldn't have to worry about getting damaged. we go from about 150lbs to about 230lbs. this is gonna be the starter board and we will buy another as we get better might have to get a little more individualized later once we figure things out. anyway just want some honest opinions on whether this is a good board to start or of there are better onese out there. dude at the shop said we can change things if we find something else that would be better suited. Any info would be great.

welcome to wakesurfing. you will have a good time with that board. i started on a 5'0" venture. but you will be surprised how fast you will want to upgrade. like after a couple trips to the lake.

i agree, i started on a 5'6" hyperlite, i think your going to be surprised how fast everone catches one, its honestly really easy to learn how to ride the wave and freeride, its easily the greatest sport on water(in my opinion). goood luck, and have fun

that is an awesome starter board! it is very durable and is great for everyone to start on. You might want to upgrade soon though.

since everyone is talking about upgrading...i am a new surfer as well. Just started this year but i'm definitely hooked!! I bought the Hyperlite Broadcast 5' and so far we love it. This may be a stupid question but what are the limitations that i should look for? What would an "upgrade" do that this board won't do well. Or is it one of those things that I'll just know when it happens?
