I just bought a SAN and will be putting a flight control tower on it. I'm just wondering if anyone can fit this set up in a garage with a standard 7 foot door. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm not too hopeful!!!

Cody, if it's a super air, it should already have the FCT on it. Sounds like you bought a super sport, so I hope you didn't pay a higher price thinking it was a SAN.

Just looking out for you bro!

Yes, it will fit. I have a standard 7 foot garage and my SANTE on a DHM tandem trailer is 82.5" to the top of the FCT tower when folded down. How long is your garage? With the deck removed and the trailer toungue folded it measures 21' 7".

Ryan,
Thanks for the heads up. I did get a super sport, I just think SAN is a wider known term, so I figured I'd be lazy and type that. How are things going... its been a while. You traveling all over with the team still??? I hear Utah is getting pounded these days, not to great for early season riding.

Harold, Thanks I have a DHM as well so we should have similar dimensions.

Ok, right on Cody. I'm good and in Hawaii right now for a short vacation. The skating season just finished about a week ago and now we head into the 2010 Olympic season so I'll be quite busy. But if you're ever in Layton, look me up for a pull. Hope all is well.

Thanks Ryan. Good luck with the upcoming training season. If we are still in the NW next winter we are hoping to make it up to Vancouver to watch some events. We had so much fun at the worlds competition that you hooked us up with a couple years ago, we have talked about finding some speed skating tickets... so in short, Hopefully I'll be there watching the fruits of your labor.

newty- i'll get some pics up soon. The boat just showed up about 1 hour ago, and it is still tower-less. Hopefully I'll have the tower in about a week.

Door clearance is pretty much going to be dictated by your trailer, but my SAN fits under our 7' door with an inch or so to spare on a RamLin trailer, FYI...

Cody ~ Just make sure your house has 12' ceilings in the garage and a 10' door, then you don't need to worry about it. I have maybe 6" of clearance with the tower up. I know that is of no help to you, but what can I say, you haven't posted any pics yet WTF!

haha, Yea I know I haven't posted pics yet. The boat just showed up this morning and I've debated all day whether I should post pics before it has the tower. I think the boat look totally naked without the Flight control tower. I'll post some pics if someone will photoshop an FCT onto the boat for my own "feel goods"

On another note, you have to rub it David don't ya. You smart computer/software guys that have AWESOME garages. I'll get you back someday!

Man that was back when they still included a center pylon on the V-drives! You should look into removing that thing, open up the cockpit and save your knees/shins from kicking the dang thing.

Hmm ok how does next weekend sound. We might be going down then as well. Doesn't look like we're going to be getting warm weather up here any time soon. IT'S SNOWING again.
