Thats great! Was the 540 TS or HS?
Old     (closedtoe)      Join Date: Jan 2007       06-14-2007, 9:38 PM Reply
Chris if your riding with the wedge either add 500 or 600 pounds to the front of the boat, Keep the rear ballast empty or ride without the wedge. These things have helped keep the wake clean farther back for me

caleb, thats pretty sick dude! was that ur first one? and yes was it hs or ts? was it flat or off-axis?
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       06-15-2007, 10:05 AM Reply

I'm tryin to create a new trick, call it the 131 or somethin. H/S FS 180 to 311 to BS 180. cant get the handle pass on the BS 180 though. tryin to land my tantrums consistently.

Just bought a sickk X-2 today. used to ride behind a supreme v208, but this x-2 is better because it actually has a wake! you believe that? ha.

How can you sleep in 'til 2pm? I went to bed at 1am last night and woke up at 8:30am. I think the longest I have ever slept in is 9:30am.

...but if sleeping in lets you do 540s, I could get used to it.
Old     (lfboarder94)      Join Date: May 2007       06-21-2007, 6:04 PM Reply
what i sleep till like 11 normaly but 2pm sounds nice so how often do most of you get to ride
Old     (wakeboardnchica)      Join Date: Oct 2005       06-21-2007, 6:32 PM Reply
i ride just about everyday
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       06-21-2007, 7:12 PM Reply
i ride almost every day in the summer.

and im not gonna say its easier to land shizzle after a good slumber but its nice.

im like a hibernating grizzly bear when i sleep, and i react as such to being woken up early
Old     (brody)      Join Date: Jul 2006       06-22-2007, 10:35 AM Reply
I only get to go out to wakeboard about one to two weeks per month. I want to get out more, but never get the opportunity.

Right now I have mixed emotions because I am doing freshmen football camp until July 29th Monday-Thursday which will cut from wakeboarding time. Hopefully something will work out.

PS- I woke up at 8:30 this morning, as late as I could go without getting board of laying in bed.

you have to pick priorities occasionally man.

i dropped baseball and tennis to become a full time boarder.

it was worth it though man haha

Besides wakeboarding and wakeskating I skateboard, play tennis, run, and swim. I got to ride all week long it was sweet! I hurt my knee though and every time I landed or pushed off the wake it hurt.

Josh sorry it took me so long to get back to you!

it sounds like your not spotting your landing.

get on a trampolin and just do backflip after backflip after backflip until you see the trampoline the whole way through, then learn to look for the other wake!

How do you convert the backflip on a trampoline over to a tantrum. I can comfortably flip all day long, but when I tried it on water i didn't get the rotation right and landed upside down. I think this was happening because I hit the wake at to much of an angle and not parallel enough, and wasn't releasing my back hand which held me back from the rotation. I am pretty sure this is the reason of falling, but are there any more tips that could help?

I might be over-thinking it too, lol.
Old     (craigystyle_05)      Join Date: Jul 2006       06-25-2007, 1:38 AM Reply
chris.... on my tantrum i haul ass into the wake really squated down and as im at the wake i just turn my board and stand up and fly.... it always starts like that though not making rotation... i was the same as you... just go balls to the wall really squated down and when u get to the wake just turn the board and stand up...

Wow caleb your really good I hope I am that good when I am your age. I landed my backroll a couple months ago. I am working on 3s and frontrolls now. I usually ride behind our 17.5 ft bayliner but also take lessons behind a san. I am hopefully going to get some fat sacks soon but there so exspensive.
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       06-25-2007, 4:20 PM Reply
haha thanks man.

on the frontroll, go into the wake with enough speed to take you out into the flats, hold onto the handle with both hands until you are perfectly upside down, then let go with your rear hand so you dont start going into a scarecrow.

near the end spot your landing and move the handle closer to the small of your back so you dont slide on your heels.

and the 3

remember the 3 p's

pop, pull, pass.
Old     (wakeman7)      Join Date: Jan 2007       06-25-2007, 6:09 PM Reply
thanks I have been taking a agressive cut for the front I just forget to ride all the way up the wake alot. I keep forgeting the pull on the three so I go off axis and eat it.

I am so stoked, I get to go to Lake Naci over the fourth of July week. I am hoping to learn some inverts (TS/HS backroll, TS Frontroll, or Tantrum) or a new spin (TS/HS BS 180, HS/TS FS 360). I'll post pics too so you guys can help me out. Thanks for all the help already!

i dont believe i reviewed the vault... your probably confused, but i do have a friedn that rides it and he loves it, its a sick board.

and chris, what the hell? of all the places were it could go lol. i have no idea ask dave on that one,

go for the h/s 3 and the tantrum.

both are everytime tricks for me now all it takes is gettign the fundamentals of it.

the vault is a sick board too.

you can get an 06 LF board like the watson or shane for cheap, and its basically the same design just different graffics from this years boards

When I am attempting the tantrums and 360s is it better to go finless? Right now I have 0.8" in on my watson.
