I am ordering some for my kids who have tubes, and recurring water behind the ear problems. I think this site has many who recommended them.

Proplugs are pretty nice.

I've got "surfer's ear", which means I have growths in my ear that can trap liquid in. I used to spend a 3-4 hrs a day in the water (swimming pool and surfing) and some people get these funky bone masses inside. I just have to shake my head well after amnd all is good now. Sometimes I will use a q-tip with rubbing alcohol around the outside to help dry it out a bit.

I just bought some Pro Plugs. I am hoping they will fix the problem.

yeah putting some rubbing alcohol in your ears after you get out of the water helps a lot...swimmers ear sucks

I used to get it a ton. The dr told me to use 50% rubbing alcohol and 50% vinegar. I haven't had any problems since.

I use Hydrogen peroxide and it works great but if I forget for a day or two. I get major head aches and loss of balance until it clears up. I am hoping with the pro plugs I will not have to worry about that. I got the size kit and the cool thing is that I could still hear with them in.

You really don't need plugs there are basically just a pain because they just fall out all the time. Just buy some Hydrogen peroxide or some drops from a drug store and it works just fine

I started getting swimmers ear more frequently after I got old, over 30. I use 50% alcohol and 50% vinegar at the end of the day and it helps a lot.

i made it again sunday, hurts like hell.

It ended up that i had put not one, but 2 gnarly holes in my ear, and the alchohal went into my eardrum and wrecked my ear from the inside according to the doctor in the ER

i have this condition...just got diagnosed the other day. when my ear gets wet it grows this fungus, and its cured w/ antibiotics and ear drops...its chronic so i have it for the rest of my life...i have to wear ear plugs in the shower.

just to show you how swimmers ear can start out. i started with swimmers ear and it developed into this. i didnt take my meds like i should have and i didnt do my ear drops often. You should do yor ear drops like prescribed now so you dont get what i have.
im also supposed to wear this gay headband thing, but i dont

Headbands are not gay. They're groovy 80's style! And we all know that's coming back this summer!

Jokes aside, for prevention try "Buro Sol". They are ear drops available without a prescription (in Canada at least) and it seems to work pretty well on mild cases before they grow into severe infection.

I only get them if the water temp gets above 75 in lake sammamish in washington. It really sucks not being able to hear anything for a few days. The pain isn't very cool either.
