....well if the wakeboard industry is anything like the rv industry there should be some great deals coming. I think I already see evidence of it with diggs x2 for 45000 I know one of our rv dealers up here in canada just bought 30 rvs from the banks in the states. we purchased a $44000(nada) dollar trailer 2007 model 38 foot 4 slide outs for $26000 (all us figures)......the dealer also said everyone hates him right now as he is selling same trailers for 15-20 thousand less. He also said if I need a boat, the same thing is happening. So for anyone looking for a boat ....I think the repos are coming and you got to get them before a reseller. Hopefully you are correct. I'm hoping to be in the market for a new boat at the end of summer. Was worried that I missed the train on the low prices of the spring

My father owns a large RV dealership here in San Martin, Ca(Just South of San Jose). He is a Fleetwood Dealer and all of his New 08/09 inventory is marked down to basically his cost, the shipping fees and a very small commission for his sales staff. He is selling out fast, because of his prices. Selling a lot, but not making a lot. Paying flooring charges is what hurt the dealers. Dealers have to move that inventory to survive, period. Now is the time to buy... If anything good comes out of a bad economy is it brings prices of overpriced luxury items down to reality, at least for a short while. Look at real estate. I wish I had money to buy more property.

My buddy picked up a 2007 Cobalt 272 repo for 55k, guy paid around 90K for it in 08. there are plenty of deals out there, if business was better I would be picking up something new...then again if business was better we wouldn't be seeing these deals.

My brother just bought a repo house in Redding, CA. 4 bedroom, 2 bath, with two 2 car garages. The place sold in 2006 for over $500k. He just picked it up for $208k.

ed.....in our case the repo could have been financed over 15 years, at around 7.5%. However we decided to use our own source at 2.25%.

Anyone ever care to think how inflated prices have been on not only homes but boats and rvs?????? Things are finally getting back to real world numbers.

So if a guy is asking 49k for a 08 SAn TE do you think I will be able to talk him down much more. Has just over 100 hrs on it. Would an offer of 40k be reasonable or will I get laughed out of the placde.haha

You can offer 40k, but yes I think he would laugh at you, but it never hurts to ask. 49k is a great deal on an 08 210 with just over 100hrs IMO.

Cash always talks. He might be in trouble, and it's a huge buyers market so it's not like people are beating down his door.

Michael- can't agree more... "but couldn't wait any longer. Got to live life." If you can afford it.. go for it... waiting two months for an extra $1000 isn't worth it.

I just did an install for a guy that bought an 08 Malibu 23LSV on a Boatmate trailer for $50K. Boat was very nice, has the Titan X tower, and Hammerhead powered.

The Midwest Marine Repo Center has opened in Oshkosh, WI. In addition to repos, they are selling the inventories of several California dealerships that have failed.

just spoke to our local marina that sells moomba......he also confirmed repo boats are on the increase with price drops of around 30-35%. .....but he also said the boat market is not like the boom of the last 2 years but like 3 years ago. Not as bad as some are making it out to be. He said the biggest drop has come in small bow riders and aluminum fishing boats. greg......definitely we are not getting any younger I dont think I will really care much to have all our toys when I am 65. So best spend the money now....and have us some fun. ...just google repos for what you want, there seems to be a ton of stuff on the web.

Dizzle, check: www.skipperbuds.com. Click on the yellow tile, however it doesn't look like they've isolated the repo inventory from the rest of their inventory. It looks like they are posting repo boats on Craig's List in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. In addition to some CA dealerships, some of the inventory they are selling is from Heckel's, the bankrupt boat dealer in Eagle River and Lake du Bay that used to sell Malibu. I don't know if any BU's are at the Repo Center since I think Skipper Buds has the BU franchise in Madison. (Message edited by lakeski on May 25, 2009)

Prices are going up not down so I say if you find what you want you should buy it and stop searching for that intangible half free boat that doesn't exist.
