Get an invert... go for a backroll or a tantrum. Also get another trick switch wake to wake from whatever side you land on after your 180! It'll be nice to start linking stuff!

Grab your 180!!

once you grab the 180, do a 360.

actually it's w2w switch 180, whether hs or ts.

Thanks Joe I didn't know that. I always thought it was switch HS.

well, i've been wrong before. as far as i know, in order for it to be a "legit" half cab, it has to be switch and done w2w. otherwise, it's just a 1-wake 180.

Good to know.

thanks Brian for starting this thread. i'm in the same boat- and thinking of the next challenge, errr i mean next concussion.

joe/j-rod- half cab and 360 sound like a reasonable progression for an old geezer like me who isn't thinking invert of anykind...

Joe, Probably correct but I think it's more a matter of opinion rather then right or wrong... Either way the switch FS 180 is correct.

me too. working on TS1, then switch , then a 3. I'm thinking TS 3 would be easiest. which 3 do you guys think is easiest or that you landed first?

then a roll if the 3 gives me trouble. threw a tantrum twice. got close, but my bro broke his foot right before my set. at the time we didn't know it was broken, but now its kinda messin with my head. i'll definitely get over it

nacho,

I found the HS 3 to be the most natural to throw. Just makes more sense to me...

Make sure you can do all 4 180's (regular heelside and toeside, switch heelside and toeside).

Get comfortable riding switch and then move up to harder tricks like heelside backrolls.

Wow, inverts after learning the first 180? Everyone is always so quick to go updside down. I personally learned the backside 180 after the frontside. Most people don't bother to learn it and I think it looks killer. I wish I had the nuts to do those neat flippy things.

While flip0 are "neat", Backside 180's IMO look way cooler. Benny G in relentless is money with those BS 180's.

I think why they say inverts first is because the general concensus is that the basic inverts are easier than 3s and even backside 180s? At least that's what I have been lead to believe... However I must go with what Big Ed suggested, can you go TS w2w? If so, what about going TS 180? I think you should get your TS jumps dialed in first. Then I think the next step in progression would be to grab your 180s, then from there perhaps the backside 180s... Anyways I'm nowhere near as good a rider as most of these guys and gals but that is my opinion of where you should head to progress.

fs 900's. off axis would be the easiest way to do it.
