faceplant

It is hard to tell if that is a whirly. I have seen some people do really extended tantrums that look like they are getting in the whirly position.

i would agree with Joe with one of the 3 tantrums.

for a whirly, it seems like he would need to have his arm a bit closer to his body.

I'm sticking with tantrum - I could be wrong but that guy's form doesn't look like he would be good enough to do a big worm, and probably (still could be wrong) not good enough for a whirly or tantrum to blind either. But you never know. My money is on tantrum.

Nick C...ouch, burned!

Garret, I'm not trying to burn this guy, I'm just giving explanation of why I think it's a tantrum. Who knows, the guy could be an awesome rider and just does that trick funny. My scarecrow looks bad, and from the looks of it, you might think I would not be able to do any hard tricks. So you never know...

if it's a TS backroll, he's in for a world of pain (if he makes it around). His hips and board direction do not look like they are in position for a TS backroll.

Then again, everyone rides different.

If the trick was landed it wasn't a whirly. Looks like a Tantrum where the rider didn't square up at the wake. Definately an interesting position.
Old     (wakebordr11)      Join Date: May 2001       07-13-2007, 9:36 AM Reply
unsquared tantrum, whirly, whirly 5? big worm? stretched out scarecrow? stretched out crow mobe? catch your edge on the wake? a bird of prey going after a fish seen in the water?
Old     (wakedude83)      Join Date: Apr 2004       07-13-2007, 9:41 AM Reply
Ok Chris what trick is it
Old     (hawaiianstiln)      Join Date: Oct 2004       07-13-2007, 9:52 AM Reply
plus if it was TS back, then his left foot would be facing up towards the sky and not his right like the picture.

The splash is on the right side of the picture, which is where the point of release was off the wake. Which means, if he's goofy footed, it's not a tantrum because his back would be facing the wrong way from the point of release off the wake.

The hampster having been running on the wheel for a while and now I would like to know what the heck this trick is. :-)

I think most possibilities have been guessed, if nobody said the right answer, then just let the cat out of the bag...

This post is starting to .......

okay, if that's the case.......Then he is in perfect position for a backroll because he let go with his backhand (which I do that). AND, he just released off the wake and since he's goofy, then he's on target. however, I don't recall my hand/arm ever letting out that far.

Alright Ghostrider, is that it?

I don't think its the backroll because isnt that usually a two-handed trick

YES I was right.

well, I let go with the backhand half way thru a backroll, but I've seen others hang on with both.

Tell him to pull that front foot up to his chest and grab that baby Nuclear! His hand is already there. :-)

So anyways, thanks for making my work day go by faster. I almost thought I was on the water for a while there! haha

That was a lot of build up for a lame finish..... I was hoping for an over head 1260.

All of that run up and it was a tantrum? Which was exactly what it looked like to begin with?

DISAPPOINTMENT TOTAL!

I was hoping it would at least turn out to be a whacked out backroll. Oh well.
