Wow what a week.
Thursday was Liquid Force - Trip Across America, with Melissa Marquardt (Tino Santori was scheduled to show, but unfortunately wasn't able to make it I guess). LF had a demo area set up where you could grab just about any board/binding combination and head straight out to the water to ride! I chose a substance and transit combo and loved it (although i grabbed the wrong size transits and couldnt feel my toes after my run
). After riding, Josh and Tyler had a BBQ set up so everyone could grab a burger or hotdog (or 3-4 if you're name is Geoff Howell).
Friday was 'Parks Bonifay Day' with Hyperlite. Even though he is still recovering from a knee injury, Parks took a run and showed us all how the pro's "take it easy" with a sick run. Super cool guy, and a lot of fun to hang out with. Again there was a demo area set up where HL has probably 50 boards set out from the little 109 kid's board I saw to surfboards and everything else. I rode a 140 Parks with Murrays, and I think this is the new setup I'm buying.
