S4 vs. Witness

Started riding this year and am progressing nicely so far with an a old school byerly board (circa 1999). The only problem is I'm 6' weigh 165 and the board is a 142. It feels huge. So now I'm in the market for a new board and demoed both the Witness (136) and the S4 (138) this past weekend. I love both boards in different ways but just can't decide which I like better. I just wanted to see if others have tried out both boards and have a preference.

I'm 6'2", 170, and I ride a 144. I would recommend trying a larger version of the shapes you're interested in. You might be surprised.

I'm 5'10, 145 and ride the 140 witness and love it. You could easily ride that. I would try it out and see how you like it

I wanted to try a 138 in both but my board shop only had a 136 in the Witness. The 136 did "feel" a little small. It might be worth trying out a 140 if I can. Also, I've been the same weight for a while now and hopefully that won't change. I shouldn't need something to grow into.

well the witness comes in a 132, 136, 140, and 144, no 138. I'm smaller than you and the witness didn't feel big coming from a 136 shane, definitely worth a try, great board.

Wasn't aware that the Witness didn't come in a 138. Has anyone tried out the S4? Know that it's new board but the evolution of the PS3. Seems like a lot of people on this board have/like the witness. I haven't found much info on the S4.
