MasterCraft Training System (MTS™), which puts a ballast tank in the observer seat storage area to simulate the weight balance of tournament conditions.

My new boat comes with this already installed, has anyone added additioanl ballast to this system...seems like a farily easy job to add a sac under the bow. Everything is already there...just need a bigger tank.

I haven't looked at doing this. Sounds like a winner, but you might have to upgrade the pump. My guess is it is fairly small since the original tank was small. If you find it takes forever to fill a larger bag, you'll have to switch the pump out. Still, it should be fairly easy because it is already wired and plumbed.

We have the same thing in our Centurion, different name, same idea. I think we're running at 2000gph pump, as it fills the relatively small tank pretty quick. I think we have about a 180lb. tank, not quite sure. I have never tried putting a bag in there, but I'm guessing it would work pretty well. Are you leaving the tank in the boat? Is the MC a hard tank like the Centurion? The problem with a bigger bag in our boat is the room factore. Between the heater, PP computer, and tank there is not much more room for a larger bag.
