A buddy of mine wanted to buy a Rash Guard for wakeboarding to wear under his life jacket. I told him that Rash Guards are for surfers and that there is no need for one in wakeboarding. This got me thinking...

Does anyone out there wear a rash guard when they wakeboard? Answer Yes or No and why?

I wear one because I am pale as hell and use it for sun protection but used it when I use to surf to keep from rubbing your nipples off.

I wear a heater shirt for warmth if it's cold. Many of the guys that I know who hydrofoil where them to help minimize the smack of the water on bad falls.

They do! They work in summer to keep your skin cooler but so does a t-shirt. Get a heater top if its warmth he's after.

I wear one, only have neoprene vests, tried without once and it wasn't nice. Nip rash is no good.

My kids all wear them for sun protection and rash protection. They have to wear a PFD all day, add a little sand. Not comfy.

I use Bullfrog when riding and wear long sleeve T shirts whenever in the sun. I wear Xl shirts to breath. Melanoma sucks.

Are people getting heater tops and rash guards confused here? Seems like it. Rash guards are really only used to keep from getting pit or neck rashes from your wetsuit or in a. Only time I used one with trunks is summer or in Hawaii because of sand sticking to the wax would chew up my stomach and chest. For protection from the sun makes sense though too.

I used to wear one because my old vest had zipp off sleeves and the zipper chaffed really bad. I still wear it though, keeps me that bit warmer if its chilly
