hey guys, i don't post to much on this forum but i think I'm going to start. Today we went to the lake and surfed basically the whole day. It was a great day for us! We are noobs at this but we are getting better. We surf and X45 and our setup today was the front ballast half full, the left rear all the way, trim tab all the way up and two people in the back. Our speed was 10.4 mph and we just went straight rather than doing a big circle. I know that this is like no weight compared to what you guys use. Oh and we surfed with a hyperlite landlock and a LF 4'4" custom. I can surf the landlock ropeless easy, even my dad went ropeless for a bit. We also taught two friends on that board today. Now that I'm getting better, i surfed the custom too. Although it was not near as easy I'm starting to get the hang of it.
heres some pics.

So we are going to pick up a fat sack this week and try to get a little better wake. An extra 500 pounds probably wont help too much but we are just going to start with that and go from there. If you guys have ANY suggestions or comments please share. We are really starting to love this sport and want to get better!!

The only problem I see is that you all ride on the WRONG side.

Kidding. Great shots. Welcome to the forum. Surfing is as much fun as you can have with clothes on.

You actually have a 4'4" LF custom? I thought I was the only one...

I like it, but have outgrown it a bit. It has become too slow for me...

Do you guys do a small turn or just go straight? Also, does anyone use the trim tab at all? I guess that would just have the same affect as putting weight in the front? This is all pretty new to us, I want to make sure we are getting the best possible wave with what we got.
