Just curious if they sell a vest anywhere with the redbull logo on it

Contact helium I think they make the redbull vest.
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       05-28-2008, 8:17 PM Reply
The Red Bull vests are strictly given out to their team riders, and nobody else. Even distributers of Red Bull products are alloud to get their hands on the vests.

I believe that one pro even got in trouble for letting his wife wear his.

I figured only the team riders got one. But it was worth a shot in the dark since i wasnt 100% sure

Red Bull is pretty strict with their softgoods. if they see an item on ebay they will outbid everyone to retreive the article.

Yah i dont think you can get any red bull helmets, vests, t-shirts etc. At least thats what I was told by a friend who is pretty close friends with a red bull rep.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       05-29-2008, 8:53 AM Reply
you'll never get a redbull anything unless it is stolen.

actually, i believe you can get a red bull--fighting vest in mexico somewhere?
Old     (aubuchon03)      Join Date: May 2007       05-29-2008, 9:15 AM Reply
Redbull is very strick with its logo and only allows their riders to have them (hats and vest). The vest are actually custom made just for the rider. Even events sometimes can not use the redbull logo or name to promote the event.

My guess would be go to a rail jam/pro-tour stop and when parks, jd, or Dallas isnt looking snatch up some 'free' redbull gear....just kiddin

You can get Red Bull stuff fairly easy if you really want it... Ebay is your best bet. A friend of mine who works some kind of customer represenative job for red bull hooked me up with a couple hats and also got me a shirt.... I know this is pry super illegal but the mall of america in shakopee MN has a little stand thing that will embroider them for you... just an idea if your really hard up for some Red Bull gear.... Heres a pic of me and my sis posing to prove civilians can get it....

Totally illegal....

Trust me, you'll never get your hands on JD's RedBull stuff. Last year at an event one of our drunk buddies decided it was a good idea to take one of their backpacks. He was going to ransom it back to the rep. JD took off running, jumped in a boat, blew the 5 zone and got the backpack back. They're no joke.

I think it's kinda lame, but they want their company branded a certain way and I've gotta give them props for that.

It's brilliant by them, if any Joe Shmoe could go out and get one we wouldn't be wanting them so bad.

Red Bull is one of the sponsors of The New Jersey Wakefest every year. They're great to work with. But they don't
want the Red Bull logo on the event shirt, nor do they even want a link on the Wakefest website. As pretty much
everyone on this thread has said, Red Bull is indeed very protective of its branding.

And thanks to Red Bull and Sidewayz, this year's New Jersey Wakefest is going to be featuring a BLACKOUT premiere.
Pretty cool. www.njwakefest.com

its a pretty common practice among larger companies that ppl associate with a label or emblem. i know my company will pay outrageous amounts of money to keep our stores "branded" a certain way.

Not a fan of Red Bull, ugly logo and tastes like grass clippings blended with club soda.

The eBay ones are most likely counterfiet, but I will say this:

I think it is so lame that you would want to spend 100$ on a hat. The best way to get there stuff is to LEARN HOW TO RIDE!!!! I think that there abilty to not brand anything allows for them to have an ELITE team. Every time you see someone with a hat on you must give credit where credit is do. (Because you have to rip in order to get gear) But now that I see a post of someone who bought his popularity and "ability to ride"you must understand the importance of limited and exclusive products.
Just my .02

Spin agree 100% Every time we see somebody with a hat on you know its legit. I was talking with Adam Errington when he was at our boat show and he was saying that they have pretty strict contracts that talk about the riders use of the brand. There is however a a way for us "regulars" to get into the gear... Red Bull and Friends. But this is more for riders parents and significant others that for you me and John Q.

I also agree that it is stupid to buy a 100 dollar hat. and the ebay thing was a joke, I would never buy something to make me look like I rip like a redbull team athlete. Although I would love to someday.
Old     (behindtheboat)      Join Date: Aug 2006       05-30-2008, 6:12 AM Reply
Whats with the hatin? Let people do what they want, no need to rip on them. Gettin flow from Monster?
Old     (goinbigg17)      Join Date: Jul 2002       05-30-2008, 6:48 AM Reply
Can you even get their stickers? Seems like you don't see them anywhere either.

I have two hats that a rep forgot to ask for back after I bartended for them one day. Anyone want to buy them?
Old     (poon)      Join Date: Dec 2001       05-30-2008, 9:43 AM Reply
Exclusivity... makes people want it. On a smaller scale, we have exclusive gear for our skate team and kids are always trying to get their hands on them and we love it but there is no way they can get it unless they are on the team. It makes kids, adults, etc... want to be part of it. It's branding, importance, and exclusive! If it's to accessible then who cares about it. Just my 2 cents

"But now that I see a post of someone who bought his popularity and "ability to ride"you must understand the importance of limited and exclusive products."

whoa whoa whoa,... ...whoa, I don't know if thats aimed at me, but any stuff I have with monster's name on it, it was given to me through the company, I have that exclusive team shirt with the army brand on the back, you can't buy that.

No matter how hard you try, you will never be able to buy riding ability.

I said it once and will say it again "Not a fan of Red Bull, ugly logo and tastes like grass clippings blended with club soda."

trevor, you can buy that monster army shirt with the brand on the back because i bought it. you don't need to "get it through the company", you can buy monster apparel in a bunch of places.
Old     (ethan31)      Join Date: Jun 2007       05-31-2008, 9:06 AM Reply
I dont know why any of you buy monster or redbull stuff.
The reps give me all kinds of stuff, shirts, hats, stickers, lanyards.....
Old     (nsolis220)      Join Date: May 2007       05-31-2008, 9:21 AM Reply
not red bull ive only ever seen them give away lanyards and bottle openers. No hats or t's or stickers.
Old     (ethan31)      Join Date: Jun 2007       05-31-2008, 9:29 AM Reply
Maybe the reps up here are nice? Idk, the redbull rep gave me a shirt and a bunch of stickers just the other day.

Same with the monster rep, they gave me a shirt, hat, lanyard, and a bunch of stickers.

Clarissa and Trevor...
ive got a sponsorhouse account (ya, i know) and i guess monster sponsors me? its kinda dumb, but they gave me a password to their website and everything and i can get stuff for like 30 percent off.....but its all just basic stuff like hats and shirts. i think you have to be higher up in the sponsorship rankings to get the more customized stuff, but i know that theres a ton of moto cross places that make their own monster stuff.
i think you see more monster stuff just because they allow other companies to use their logo, and red bull doesnt.

Monster offers a ton of crap, I have 2 monster MX helmets, they offer replica riding gear, huge stickers, I have 2 jerseys, T-shirts, sweat-shirts, pretty much everything.

Alex, If you're "sponsored" by monster on sponsor house, it's pretty stupid, a lot of my friends use that site and will bring up thier "sponsorship" whenever possible. however, thier contract gives them:

stickers
hats
t-shirts

I personally think that it's kind of stupid that they claim this as a sponsorship as this is a one way street. I had a "sponsorship" with them as well, and although it was a little better than t-shirts etc., it was still really really really stupid. I really enjoyed the free drinks, monster is absolutely my favorite energy drink, but there is no way I will ever make the mistake of "signing" with them again for this year.

trevor,
you got me all wrong dude, i think its kinda dumb too, im just stoked that i can get their stuff at a discount....
i only say they sponsor me as a joke, and my freinds who dont ride think its like super cool, but all my buddies who do ride know the whole thing is just some rep saying they "sponsor" me, then they give me cheap stuff
the only reason i brought it up was because red bull doesnt do that kinda stuff and their more selective about who they sponsor... honestly, my little brother who can cross both wakes without falling could get picked up by monster on sponsorhouse

I agree you have to rip to have there stuff, give me a break people what are we in the 6th grade here. If you have a New York Yankees hat on does that mean you play for them, if you like something and you want to rock it who cares how you get it.

And you can get the stuff if you have the
connections.
