i was reading and filling out my entry form the the nationals and had read something about a weight restriction for the private lake it is at. the lake that it is being held at is Bennnett's ski school. the actuall wording of the restricting is " remember these lakes are only 5 to 6 feet beep and the boat weight is restricted, INT will stay within the manufactures Coast Guard Guidelines". so i'm wondering if they just wont go above weight rating for the boat.

It won't matter at only 5-6 feet deep, there won't be much of a wake.

you can get a big wake in 5-6 feet of water. I ride in a river that probably avg's 5 feet deep.

the private lake that i board on is 6 feet deep and theres a big difference when the boat is weighted with about 2,500lbs. when theres no weight in the boats its like being on a DD ski boat but when the boats are weighted it helps out a lot. i'm not saying that they get as big as they would out in a deep lake but there is a big difference.

i ride at the same lake as Ryan and at 6ft we are able to get a sick wake out of me Malibu VLX. It does take some extra weight, not much, and good placement of the Power Wedge but sometimes my wake is bigger then some peoples in deep water.
So all they have to do is at least try and make the wake nice for the upper divisions and we will be good to go.

Cant wait,
TC

You know the best thing about comps are that every body has to ride as close to the same conditions as otthers. I rec amend that any one who is competing practice with stock ballast or less

stay at the embassey sweets if theres room for sure, the host hotel is always the most fun and conveinent

Randy, i was the camera dude for pro last year, and the boat had a round boat discussion on how to pronounce Alex's name, none of us could figure it out.

I ended up saying "alex s." on the video, haha

dont worry we will get it right this year

I couldn't believe they were holding it at Bennett's. I have been there, and not only are the lakes 5-6 feet deep, but they are also super narrow. My friends went to the wakeboard camps, they said it was a joke.

the pro shop manager ACE, is about as good as it gets when it comes to personality and lessons, hes really good at what he does and i have tons of respect for him, plus, living in arkansas and having a bunch of friends that go there, that place has done miracles as far as technique goes.

bennets = A+

Wow too bad. 2007 NWL Nationals in Dayton had a 2000 Lbs in the VLX and 2550 lbs in the Supra 22SSV. The entry fee was about 1/2 too @ $75

NWL national? 30 riders vs. 400 at INT. There is no comparison but you are right, INT needs to do better for the wakeboarders at US Championships. Ski lakes are too short and too shallow.

Rodger - USA only had 30. NWL had about 50 so together we did about 80. We have already chosen the 2008 location which will was the site of E-town Throw Down with no such restrictions.

But anyway I sincerely wish all the best and good Luck!
