Some may say it's a little cheesy but it sure beats kids playing video games.

Sick!

That's exactly the type of skim boarding we used to do growing up in Alameda. The tide wold go out and leave miles of pools to ride. I wish we would have thought of the sliders and ramps though!

Sweet.

That's pretty amazing stuff, too bad I'd need to learn how to skate board!

J-rod you grew up in Alameda. Crazy my gal lived on central. In one of the first houses built there. I was always skating at lincon school.

Yep thats pretty cool.

how would a skimboard work for surfing behind a boat?

Not sure how it would work without fins but there are kids where I ride that wakeskate on skimboards and they kill it.

I love skimboarding with my friends, and I thought we were pretty good, but DAMN that is amazing.

I really gotta build a skimboard rail now. No question. Skimboarding is a LOT of fun on a day at the beach, and very good excercise. Also cheap, if you have any wood experience you can make your own board.

I skimboard some and I didn't think it was possible to ollie at all without using a wave, also sweet rails, I've got to try that.

Yeah skimboardings alot of fun. We're gonna build some rails and ramps for next year. I used mine for wakeskating before. Its really sketchy at first but you can do shuvits and flatspins so easy. You can just keep spinning and spinning. But they hardly have any rocker whatsoever so its pretty hard hitting a wake if your not confortable on the board. I just skim in the creek by my cabin, ive never been out in a tidal pool.

Damn - I thought that looked like Boundary Bay! Skimboarding is pretty hot there. I live about 10 minutes from where that was filmed. My hubby got me a skimboard this year, but I haven't tried it out yet.
