Lake Tomahawk if there is no wind. Very big, many spots to ride even it blown out, safe, and crystal clear for 12'.

looking for something central to north central... going to be renting a cabin maybe... would be cool if they had snowmobile trails close by so if we wanted to go back in the winter to ride the sleds... just looking for a nice area with good water for boarding and surfing with the family other than that its a bonus

Big Bearskin Lake in Harshaw just north of Tomahawk about 10 miles south of Minocqua. The lake is small but normally there is not alot of boats. I know there are cabins to rent there and the main snowmobile trail runs along the lake. The area is great because it is far enough away from town but close enough to still go in and enjoy the town if you want. If you want to be in the middle of everything look at Lake Minocqua or Lake Tomahawk they are connected and they are both big with many places to ride. We are going up on Thursdays for what looks to be cold weekend. Like Edgar said there are lots of lakes so it all depends on what your needs are. Good luck with the search and hope you enjoy wherever you decide to go!
