Quote "I'll bet I've got the biggest wake too! " IMO, Wynn has you beat on his Camo setter. I have also seen an SANTE throw a crippling wake also. ....maybe the post should be biggest Stock wake? (Message edited by rson on April 02, 2007)

Defiantly not getting into a pissing contest here but the wake really is huge. I've been riding for over a decade now and have been on pretty much every boat out there made with tons of extra weight and can honestly say that the Epic has one of the biggest wakes of any boat. I know the guy with the camo BU and his wake really is huge, but guess how is 23 ft. BU is set up. He's got an 8.1L engine with a 14 1.4 X 14 1/2 prop and runs 4K of ballast. Sound familiar? Exactly what the Epic runs stock, anyway, here are some pics of the wake with stock ballast, I'll get some surf pics on here soon and if anybody is ever looking to prove me wrong I'm in Dallas and more then happy to take anybody out. Hit me up with a PM or maybe Jimmy would be willing to take somebody out in AZ. P.S. Bocephus, tell Jimmy W. that Jess from Dallas said hi.. And to stop killin that battery... Makin us look bad!!

Jess, I try to be positive and give something to the threads when posting to this forum (I hope David Williams doesn’t see this post – Sorry David), but really man, who cares? I’m glad you like your Epic, that’s great! I love my Correct Craft too. I really like how my Correct Craft can go all day long, from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, on the same 39 gallons of gas that I towed it to the lake with. I really like how my buddy who’s 6’8” and 250#’s can throw back rolls and 7’s off the stock wake. I really like how I can still turn on a dime. Most of all I really like how the builder of my boat has been in business since 1925 and offers a 5 year front to back warranty. Is my boat or wake better than yours? I have my opinion, you have yours and my dad thinks his 27’ Doral is the best…. You have a nice boat, but get over it!!

First off I didn't say one bad thing about anybody's boat, there are a ton of really good boats out there and just like there is a wakeboard that "works" for each person and his/her style I believe the same can be said for boats. I love Nautiques and actually have one still, great boats no question about it, however, I really like the wake on my Epic and was trying to share some pics and info. I mistakenly thought that the readers of this forum would like to see some pics of the wake but evidently I was wrong, I believe I even stated in my second post that I wasn't trying to start a "pissing contest"(and I meant it) and that I've actually seen wakes as big(i.e. camo BU) I was just having some fun and thought I would get the post started. "I know the guy with the camo BU and his wake really is huge," Oh and the guy kills it wakeboarding. And by the way, I was just B.S.ing in my originally post, I knew there would be somebody on here who would get bent out of shape over some silly B.S. (Bocephus) Last post for this one....

lmao i love these threads. Jeremy K (crowmobe540) had the biggest wake i had ever seen from his 210 that he had slammed. Ive ridden that epic on ray hubbard, its big but jeremy's old 210 would give it a run for its money. and ive seen that camo bu, the wake is HUGE that and it just looks sweet. so here are the pics, i suppose i could have posted them but they arent mine so here is the link and the story. http://www.waterskiamerica.com/LEGENDS.php

Kevin did ride behind the Epic on Hubbard but it was just after we got the boat and hadn't "dialed it in", and the lake conditions were horrible, next time your back in town Kevin hit me up, I'll show you what we're working with now.... O.K. so it wasn't the last post...

BTW, Jimmy himself said that the best wake he has ever ridden behind was Dan Lee's (Surfside Dan) Regal. It was in Wakeboarder Magazine, he said it was like hitting a double up every time. From the Arizona Wakeboarding Association website: "The grand finale of the day was watching Jimmy Wolf and Glen Coy put on a spectacular display of riding behind the Regal 3350. This is a 12000 lbs boat with 750 hp and a radar arch. This is no wakeboard boat but it did have a huge yet well shaped wake, a BBQ, air conditioning, bathroom, 2 fridges, a microwave, a DVD player, and a luxurious cabin!" 4000#'s just doesn't cut it! LOL!

that vid is sick! i hope thats what all wakes will look like in the future. that would open up so many possibilities. of course injuries would also be more prevelent, but damn its gotta be fun gettin that high on wake to wake jumps. id love to see a double up behind that boat!

Those same couple Epic wake pics have been around for ever. Why do we never see any recent ones? You know the rider beside the wake shot from inside the boat ones?

No joke....... The Epic wake is the biggest thing I've ever seen and we've done our best to sink every boat out there. Now.... I did say it was the biggest, but I wont say it's the best. In fact I'd take my old X2 with 2800lbs over the stock Epic any day of the week. Just like the guys with the small penis always says: "bigger isn't always better".... LOL!!!

You put 4k pounds of Ballast in any 23ft boat and will have a big wake, doesnt matter if its a Moomba, Tige or Malibu. TackleBerry, right on man.

Nautique offered it last year. I do not believe it is an option this year. they are individual vinyl decals. I do not remember what the option cost when I bought it. And I have no idea what it would cost to do it after the fact.

...I guess that depends. If I can afford to pay cash for the boat then no it probably wouldn't matter. But I think most folks finance at least a portion if not all and do give some consideration to fuel economy? I know I did when I bought my new boat.

That Supra is the best looking boat of the bunch in my opinion. I also picked it as the most functional interior, and tower design for the second year in a row at the boat show.

Yah, the thread that Rich pasted pretty much explains it all. I took the title of this thread literally, and thought I would post my sick looking boat. It looks a hell of a lot better now Here it is being towed to the launch, after the rescue. The little tug boat was home made by one of the residents at the lake . . . pretty sweet!
