I am looking at buying my first boat and would like to spend less than 10k. I found a Supra for 5900 that the owners say it has apx. 250-300 hours. I enjoy wakeboarding and would need to put a tower on it as opposed to the ski pole it has now. Can I get any feed back on this boat either from owners of it or anyone who knows about them. Thank You

The current Launch 21v hull is a modified version of the sunsport hull. You can get a great wake out of it! You just need to look for the standard stuff on a boat of that age... soft floors, rotted engine mounts etc...
Here is a link to one all set up for wakeboarding and a lot of work done to it to boot!

I bet he would get to your 10k on it!

I just bought a 1987 sunsport, and I love it! The wake isn't huge but with a little weight I can be really good. In regards to the one you found that was 5900 with on 300hours....I dunno something sounds really fishy about that, seems like the price is really low if it is in good condition. Just make sure you take if for a test drive and look over the entire boat and trailer for anything wrong!!! Good luck bro

That looks to be a standard price for that year in TX

Bring a half inch (I think) wrench or ratchet and crank all the motor mount bolts. If they spin good sign of rotted stringers. Common rot spots are under drivers seat and infront of rear seat on left side of boat. I have an 86 marauder. same boat just closed bow. bought mine 4 6800 had 50 hours on a fresh pcm 454 and only 320 hours on the hull. This should be a good comparison for pricing. I have seen the same boat with tower go for 10K but in premo shape
