We just sold a jet boat (SeaDoo and don't go there, I called it my husbands pool toy) Looking at the Malibu/MC Wakeboard Boats. Now people are telling me I should have kept the jetboat for the river and stick to lakes with a propeller driven boat. Any info on sandbars/damage that can be done to boats, etc. using them on the river. We primarily stay in the Parker Strip area.

We go to Parker several times a year and have not put a ding in our prop. You just need to remeber that its down there and to pay attention to where you are.

No worries...

Been going there for years and the only time I ever had any prop damage was during a monsoon storm. Other than that just stay toward the middle of the river. Also early am boarding during the week is perfect. Weekends suck, tons of pwc's and jerks.

we go to Parker several times a year. We prefer October when the weather is warm, not hot. Many people run inboard boats there. The low spots on the river are usually marked, and anyone who is familiar with the river will give you a tip on where to ride. See these photos from the Tige' watersports reunion. This was held a couple of weeks ago at the Blue Water resort in Parker. 160 Wakeboard boats in one spot, and no lost underwater gear!

Greg - congratulations, you just jinxed yourself.

Flack - I've never seen a shallow spot marked out there.

Jacqui - get a Malibu.

Paul - I concur.

Test drove Malibu VLX & MC X10 today. Tough decision. Malibu rode better & had a better wake, guess it'll all come down to what kind of deal I can make

I destroyed a prop this week at Parker - middle of the river, just north of Sundance. Apparently the water was a little lower than the day before and the rider fell at the wrong time. Luckily no other damage and I had a spare prop in the truck.
