Does this seem crazy? $90k for a Supreme V226?

That's $90k Canadian, correct? So, about $80k US?

Yes Drew you are correct. It's a terrible time to buy a boat in Canada right now. 90k just seemed pretty darn high to me that's all.

No worries. The prices on wakeboats today all seem high to me, doesn't matter if is US or Cananda.

Its also in Red Deer, Alberta. Its the middle of the Alberta oil patch so theres lots of young people willing to overpay on "toys". On top of that 90K there will also be another 5% sales tax. Prices have been going up in the last few months as the Canadian $ drops in value.

It almost makes you think it might be better to buy from the US. My friend bought his 2000 MAstercraft X5 in Florida, he said crossing the boarder wasn't that much of a process. I think when I am ready to buy one I will most likely go the US route (my girlfriend's family lives in Florida). I would rather stay in Canada but prices are kind of hefty, especially in central Ontario.

There is a "new" 2012 226 sitting at a dealer in town here. Nice boat but no high end stereo upgrades, boat show price of $77,495.

I find all boats in Alberta are completely over priced compared to BC/Fraser Valley and are always considerably more. As Tony said. I think all of the local dealers take advantage of the oil boys and the money they got. I've looked a wizard marine a few times and the prices don't seem right.

The prices in Canada are not any higher than in the US. In fact alot of the boats seem to be very similarly priced in the US and with the exchange and shipping makes no sense to buy in the US anymore, I have purchased several boats in the US when the prices were better however over the last couple of seasons that has changed.
