i have a buddy in the market for an older inboard, and his price range is in the 10-15k range. I'm suggesting the infamous nautique 2001, but we're open minded about what we can do. I've heard that theres some other older nautique models out there, I believe one of them being the "super sport" (i could be wrong)...anyway I needed some opinions of the boat shown below...he's more into wakeskating, but we know we'll have other buddies out boarding, so want to be able to have a boat that is versatile..and throws a great wake when sacked out properly..what are your thoughts/opinions on any boat, no matter the make or model..would fit what he's looking for...any help is great!

94-95 Super Sport. It's the same bottom hull of the old SANTE. You might find one under 15K. I know someone that found a older SANTE really cheap. The deals are there if look at the right time.

You cant go wrong with a Nautique. I dont know much about this model. We have had two 2001 models and they are great boats. The wake is unreal when weighted down. Here are some web sites to check out. You can find a lot of info on these boats to help you make your decision.

Dont forget www.the2001.com

I personally have no experience with it but I've heard the Excel (I think it was made in the early 90's) is also decent... plus its a v-drive.

not 94, they started in 1995. you'll have a very hard time finding one in that price range. You can however find a regular sport in that range. The sport has the same hull as the SS/SAN but is a DD. I would take the sport over the 2001...

Not sure how far you want to drive, but this is my buddy's boat in Alabama. He is wanting 15.5K and it has a new interior and tower. Here is the ad here on the site. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/601887.html?1217281949
