If I was going to run 3 pair on my tower in a custom box and 3 pair inside the boat what would be the best way to wire this up? I think i am going to go with just an EQ and Amps.

Wiring help would be awesome.

Polk Audio db 651 will be what I am installing. Sorry. Do not have an amp(s) selected yet.

6 polks in a custom box? If you really want to do a custom enclosure, I would spend my money elsewhere, like on a pair or two of the new Wet Sounds HLCD 6x9's coming out soon. $.02. As far as an amp, look for a 2 chnl that will net you about 75 watts to each speaker. You will need to wire 2 speakers in series, then parallel them with the 3rd. then repeat for the other side. This will net you 2.6 Ohms per chnl.

yay 6 in custom box. I won it in the toys for tots auction. I get my SN2001 back in a couple weeks. New floor etc and I will start putting it back together. I also have 6 for the interior but I may only use 4, not sure.

Oh, I gotcha, you won this as a setup.

For the in-boats, any good 4 chnl will run either 4 or 6. Look for one that will do at least 60 x 4 @ 4 ohm and 100 X 4 @ 2 ohm.

Well as far as amps go, I am going to be hard up on cash due to restoring the boat. What are good options? I will need 2 i take it. 1 for the tower and 1 for inside the boat? I will most likely throw a sub into the mix. Can i put that on the interior amp?

If your still looking for amps I have a few that I took out of my old boat I can sell pretty cheap I have 3 clarions 2 four channels and a 2 that would work for your set up 1 on the int 1 on the tower and a 2 channel on the sub.

buy Aarons amps

Tower one 4 channel and one 2 channel, one pair per channel

Boat one 4 channel, bridge the 4 cockpit to the rear channels, put the bow on the front channels

On a tower, I don't like to do the series/parallel mix because you won't have balanced output from the speakers. In the boat it doesn't matter since as much since they are in different locations. If you want to run a sub use 3 four channel amps and bridge the last two channels for the sub. Need a sub? Hit me up, I have 2 options ready to go.
