4 boards so far.

Canada isn't exactly the wakesurfing hub of the world.

Andrew,
You need to bring your boat and you down here or maybe just you. We can get you on a few more boards.

Three. It really is that Canadian thing. You just don't want to be counting up past ten We used to have 10 teams in the CFL but named two of them the Roughriders so we still had a finger free to hold the beer when we counted.

lol Art, you Canadians have a good sense of humor. But I guess you must to live where it drops below 50 degrees!

To the original post - I have surfed on hundreds of boards, just not all behind a boat...

4 for me. Still searching as well as there are so many styles out there. I dont figure I'll ever fall in love with just one....I like to switch it up too much. Right now I am mostly riding a P5 Prop.

Another "4 boards" for this Canadian.

8 Walker Project boards
6 Inland Surfer boards
5 Endless Break boards
4 Trickboardz + 1 Asylum board
4 Calibrated boards
3 Shred Stixx boards
3 Walzer boards
2 Phase 5 boards
2 Hyperlite boards
1 XXX board
1 Victoria board
and last but not least 4 Bigshow customs :-)

Demo days/weekends and contests have a lot to do with riding so many boards. It is nice to have ridden so many boards to know what to recommend people who are looking for a new board, and to be confident that the board I ride is the right board for me.

So what do you ride and which did you like the best?
Old     (wakesurf_ohio)      Join Date: Jun 2007       12-07-2009, 1:18 PM Reply
My Walker Project Bullet rides the best for me. It is also a custom made board for me, which helps. The Inland Surfer Black Pearl is probably my favorite skim board that I've ridden. Bigshow's home made longboard rides exceptionally well also.

Robbie, how did the repair on the 3-X board work, did you get to ride the board?

Dennis,

Always tempting to get back on one of those WP boards. Next time I'm in California, you're the first to know. Although that boat will never make another 24 hour drive again!

I have surfed on:
Hyperlite Landlock 5'6"
Landlock 6'
Brodcast
Phase 5 Prop
Inland Surfer Yellow Loogie
Triple X skim
I like the Phase 5 Prop and Triple X the best so far.

I was sick/it was cold when we went to the lake. The repair looks solid though, thanks!

I know different people like/need/should get different boards, but it would be great if those of you who have ridden lots of boards could share a little more of your expertise. How about listing the boards from your favorite to your least, or rating them great, good and ok. Thanks for anything you can offer.

Here's my list with my current favorites at the top:

Phase 5 DD Carbon
IS Sweetspot
Liquid Force Venture - good for bigger guys
IS Bluelake
Hyperlite Landlock
CWB ride - what I learned on - still ok, but slow
