I just got a 141 CWB Absolute and am wondering fins or not? Also, I really need help fixing my wake to wake jump. Currently it seems after cutting all the way out and edging in pretty hard i let up at the end and just ramp off the wake. Should I be pushing down('standing tall') on the wake? Does this mean my board should actually cut through the wake?

if you need help fixing your wake-to-wake jumps, maybe you should leave the fins in.

What advantages do the fins give. I know they give a looser ride, but how does that help?

The fins give the board more grip and speed it up a tad. It sounds to me like you need work on your progressive edge first and worry about the fins second. Until you get the progressive edge dialed in ride with fins, it will save some unwanted crashes and make it easier to progress on. Many people say going finless forces you to learn to edge, this is true but it sounds like you are not quite ready for that. Do some research on the progressive edge and go from there.

Im with these guys, keep your fins in. I ride my absolute finless, and I love it but if your working on 2 wakes I would keep them on for now

I agree, I rode an older Absolute with smaller center fins last year and just got an 06 Flame this year and decided to ride it finless from the beginning of the season and I was casing the wake about every time my first trip out. I am riding behind a different boat this year and I think that is part of it, but I will probably put the small fins back in for a few outings and get back to my comfort zone.
