I have a 97 Malibu Echelon (built for skiing) that we wakeboard behind.

I just got a screamin' deal on an LF Skimskate 60". I dig the board, but have not been successful on "free-riding".

Last weekend I had 6 (count 'em) 6 people in the boat and couldn't get it. I have "The Wedge" as well and just couldn't seem to get it. I would say my skill level is advanced (pretty good rider). I had everybody on the DS and it just wasn't working.

Should I be concerned about the tank vent?? I ride goofy and have heard some horror stories.

Any suggestions on weight?

Contemplating a Fat-Sac, but have to run it by the wife.

Thnx for all your help.

Be very concerned about the location of your fuel tank vent. If it is near the rear on the low side, you will likely get water it. I realized this problem when I found "mud" in my carburetor. It is best to locate the vent forward, at least abreast of the driver.
