I am looking for some creative pics of battery installs. In particular I have seen some people mount their batteries under the passenger seat instead of inside of the big clamshell comparment. I am looking to keep the batteries in the same area, but better space saving.... I have seen pics of someone that mounted their batteries under that seat and then covered them with fiberglass. Anyone remember that thread? I want to say it was on a supra?? Thanks guys
yeah that was me, i will snap some shots and post them for ya. I also think adam curtis is the other with the batt under pass. seat. frees up that whole compartment now.
Danny.... you the man.. get me those pics and hopefully adam will get on here and chime in too... he can't be too far away although i have not seen a post from him in awhile...
Not the greatest pic... but its all i got. I only have it cuz we were going to sell our boat but ended up not doing it. But it just framed with wood and then wrapped with carpet. works pretty good.
My golfcart batts before I moved them, now I have one on each side in the stock locations and the starting red-top under a dead space. They have covers and look like they were factory installed.
no i havnt got to go by the shop to take pics if it was behind my house i would just go out and snap. if you are taking it to have it done i just pulled that seat out batt. fit just fine under and i drilled through the floor were the batt cables were fished through and cut them down and it is a clean install. if you have the 21v supra you know how much of a pain it is to store things under that seat so it is a perfect place to mount batteries. i will really try and get home from work a little earlier tommorrow and get those pics for ya.
