Happy New Year Everyone!
Great to see the new 2009 thread going. Just think...the count down is already beginning. 3 more months and we'll be on the water again putting on wet and dry suits to dip in the water for a quick pull while we can't wait until the water warms up! Let it be another great start for the riding, friends, and an all around good season for everyone.
Let the posting begin!

Hey everyone,
I hope all your New Years were sweet as. It was a little different down here, that being the coronas on the beach while you were still waiting for the ball to drop. But I can't wait for my real summer to start in just a few months.

I spoke to my boat mechanic today and scheduled The Super Air's Spring unwinterization! I love it.
I've also begun some super-preliminary work on Wakefest. I should probably update the Wakefest website soon,
but I haven't in quite a while.

Alex, when we winterize our boats out here, just means we don't need as much ice in the coolers to keep the beer cold. Happy New Year to your 09 thread... Joe from Huntington Beach, CA

Funny Joe! Like that picture shows, it gets cold enough here for our riding spot to get good and icy!
Hey Joe...we may have another friend in common; do you know Dave Hobrecht from Huntington Beach? While his
family business was automotive after-market tubular products, I think now he solely does surf art.

me to let him know when the official date is set and he'll see just what he has going on that day.

I'm telling you...the wheels are already turning.

Hello from SoCal. Here with the wife and my mother in law, visiting my brother in law, wife and their newborn baby. It's overcast and slightly rainy, but no bother as it beats the sub-30 degree weather in NJ. Were in the 50's-60's.

If anyone's interested, The Atlantic City boat show is coming-up February 4 to 8.

I think Sandy Point Marine (now NJ Mastercraft) will be there.

A tentative date for Wakefest '09 has been chosen. As soon as it's official I'll post it up right here.

Wow it's 2009 and there's a ton of buzz going around which is great to see! I haven't been on WW or posted on the threads in probably over 5 months but certainly had to jump in on the '09 thread and be a part of it! I'm sure that Michele will also drop in and post as well. Things have been really busy with us: wedding planning, renovating our master bathroom, snowboarding, holidays, family stuff, and of course busy with WORK!

Hope everyone is doing well and we're looking forward to the start of the season (though not particularly in a hurry because I'd like to get in a bunch more snowboarding days before it gets too warm).

Clayton, Jim B lives in Marlton and tows his Tige up to Bordentown all the time. Should be about 45 minutes or less I think. Go back to KY and get your boat! :-) (I'm always up for a road trip if you need a tow)

Will you be riding here in NJ from now on?

Hi everyone. I have been snowboarding like crazy to pass the time until the boat hits the water. I think I should start looking into a HEAVY wet suit. I'm going to reserve my slip with a Hydro Hoist for the summer.

I know it's still way early but I figured I'd try to meet some people before the season rolls around...I'm getting antsy!!

Anyways, I just moved to Philly a few months ago and I'm hoping to meet some people in the area to ride with regularly. I don't own a boat, so I'm happy to chip in for food, gas, beer, whatever. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the thread Justin. We have a large group of riders here that ride on the Delaware launching in Bordentown. Our crew rides most weekends launching as early as 6:00am pending the tide, and there are also a few crews that ride here during the week as Joe has posted.

NJ Wakefest is awesome! Be sure to check out the website Eustace posted for you. The pictures from the past 3 years of Wakefest are great! And check out the sites Alex has mentioned in the opening post of this thread as well.

As I inch closer to dewinterizing my boat, I keep thinking about all of the is broken, wrong, improperly maintained, scratched, etc... and I am realizing that I am gonna have to take 3-4 days to get my baby back in respectable shape before I start riding again. A lot of waxing, polishing, cleaning and electrical work lies in my future, 2 questions though.

1.) Does anyone have any experience installing a fuel flow meter. I dont know much, so anything regarding difficulty, cost, method etc... would be very helpful. Do you have to cut the fuel line and install it in the fuel line itself?

2.) Custom Ballast plumbed in to stock ballast. I am looking to plumb my 3 bags into my stock system permanently. My plan is to cut the overflow hoses in the middle and from there plumb those hoses into the extra bag. There will be one extra bag being added on top of each hard tank. The overflow hose will flow into the extra bag, with an additional hose flowing form the bag to the overflow outlet on the side of the boat. I am pretty sure this should work, but I know a few of you have already done this, so let me know what's up.

Aw yeah!

I'm finally coming out of my self-imposed hibernation through the winter (or worthless) months!

I shouldn't way worthless as I've at least gotten some snowboarding in, but this is no just ridiculous. Let's see some of that global warming!

I hope everyone is well. This is just my late start to what's going to be a kick ass 2009 season of wakeboarding for the Jersey Riders!

I can't wait to have the boat back on the water and I'm really psyched to wakeboard again, but for me the
water has to at least be in the mid/upper 50s.

I scrubbed and re Scotch Guarded my boat's canvas over the weekend in preparation for an early April
dewinterization. After a long cold winter, it felt good to be doing boat stuff again.

huh? Nice. Yo, let's get started on Wakefest designs soon. Are you still at Sew Cal or have you gone indy?

In a positive step towards the 2009 season, I'm picking-up my Bordentown 2009 ramp pass tomorrow. It'll
feel good to be back on Farnsworth Ave after such a long absence. And I'm sure a stop at Chickie's & Pete's

I went to the apple festival up in Warwick a couple of times. I also remember spending the day on Lake
Wawayanda, going into Warwick to have a Chinese food dinner, then hangin' out for the night over at the drive-in.
I wakeboarded on Greenwood Lake once, but it was a cold, over-cast October day and the water conditions weren't
particularly good. I used to go up to The Orange County Fair Speedway up in Middletown every Saturday night too.
I visited the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility a couple of times too.

I cruised down to Bordentown yesterday and picked-up my 2009 ramp pass. I went to the boat ramp afterwards
to just sorta hang-out and check-out the river. By total coincidence, as I pulled-up, the same guys from
Titusville that Dave saw were pulling-up too. They said they had just gone down to Tennessee to pick-up
this boat. Pretty cool. Is it time for a wrap job on the Moomba Brian?

Is the water temp now for wet suit or dry suit? Connor wants to get out there but I think his dry suit is the way he has to go.

Thanks Eustace :-)

Aw yeah!
People, I just got back from San Diego where I saw 5 days worth of the Wakesports Rail Jam and I've got to admit I've got wakeboarding seriously on the brain! What's more, my boat is getting its preseason tune up tomorrow at San Bar Marine! And to top it off, I see some of our people are starting to ride here in the Dirty Jersey!

The season is here!!! Let the fun begin!

I can't wait to get my boat on the water! 3rd weekend in April is the target splash date. Get your suits out!

Eeee-haaaa!
I'm having a dewinterizing party this Saturday, and if a number of different variables come together just
right, we may tow right to the river for our first day out. If the water temp can come-up another
5 or 10 degrees by the weekend I'd be really happy.

And I was recently told it's "Yeeee-Haw!" Not "Eeee-haaa!"

N.E> = North East.
YEE HAW = TEXAS.
Nothing wrong with Texas though....
Everything is BIGGER in Texas! Including the free border to enter
