Picked up a new Axis A-20 from the Malibu dealer (Minnesota Inboard, the Mueller boys are awesome) about a month ago and just brought it in for its 20 hour service. The axis boat is everything a person needs to do watersport and it looks sweet. I wanted to share.

I agree, it looks really good as is but if you could get rid of the graphics around the "Axis" and the graphics around the "A20" it would look real clean.

Thanks guys, I love the all white. Does anyone have photoshop? I have been thinking about de-stickering it but I want to see what it looks like first

No idea where you are in CO but if you are in the Denver area and would like a pull behind an Axis A22 shoot me a PM Chris. We have ours out on Standley lake 4-5 times a week.

Matt nice ride. Nobody buys a new boat and doesn't get started on the stereo right away. Do tell??

Yup, I currently live around 7/101 between Christmas Lake and Tonka' - Shorewood/Excelsior, just a bit east of MN Inboard.

Two pairs of Exile XM7's on the tower with a harpoon amp that came off the old boat. Trying to decide between the 600 watt or 1500 watt subwoofer setup from exile right now. For the cabin speakers, the boat came with amped cabin speaker so for the summer I will run those until the blow then put my Xi800x4 exile amp with 3 pairs of exile's sxt65. It will be all Exile Audio Boat. Brian over there has been taking very good care of me. It should be a very good sound system.

Ok here you go. Not the best photoshop job but decent. Looks good maybe a small Axis decal somewhere to break of the white or an A20.

Very nice boat! Love the color scheme. We bought ours from MN Inboard last year, and I have to say that they have been absolutely great!

Matt - Great looking AXIS. I liked the crisp lines until you let Mark hit the beer bong and start photo shopping it...lol! (That rub rail was like that when I got it?_)

Tint those windows out man! It'll look nice! Dont black them out... just some shade.

Looking forward to seeing the finished pics of the Stereo install. If you want to play with Nubu, you have to step up to the big15. Funny thing is, some of these Exile boats are all texting me about how to out do the other. It will not be to long before you all see a BIG18 in a locker... No joke.

I don't mine those graphics. They are small enough that they don't take away from the rest of the boat so I say leave'm
Old     (tampawake)      Join Date: Mar 2008       06-28-2011, 5:35 PM Reply
Make sure you get the murdered out Exiles for that boat. I am going to order some xm7 grills in black. Yeah 30% the windows and leave the graphix or get something custom from a local sign shop. I dont love the graphix but looks better with them. Still love the white. Dont worry what Brian has to say he is sleep deprived and makes no sense.

Matt, congrats on the new boat. I have almost the exact same boat and absolutely love it! I hope you got at least the ACME 1235 if not the OJ prop, as I didn't and will have to pony up the cash to upgrade. Please post some pics of the exile install because I am thinking of running 4 XM7's also. I'm really just waiting to hear some b/c out here all I ever see is wetsounds, so I haven't been able to check any out. If you have any questions for another A20 owner hit me up, but I'm not too far ahead of you with 50hrs.

Thank you all for the comments. I have been having a great time on the boat.
Mike, How are the weighting the boat for Wakeboarding, how about the goofy side Surf?
Old     (silvermustang35)      Join Date: Jul 2008       06-29-2011, 7:48 AM Reply
Congrats Matt, looks slick! Weight the crap out of it and enjoy. On our A22 we weight the front, empty center and pnp on the side we are surfing on, wedge down around 11.6mph. Seems to get a pretty nice surf wave to it.
Old     (mikeakatex5)      Join Date: Jun 2009       06-29-2011, 7:56 AM Reply
I used Chattwake's suggestion (great guy for axis info) for the surf. Fill the front pnp bag, rear surf side tank and pnp bag full, and run around 12mph. The wedge will make the wave taller but shorter and washed out. I've also been playing with filling the center and throwing more weight in the back surf side corner. They key seems to be to get as much of the hull in the water not just slam the back corner. As far as the goofy wave goes, I haven't tried it since I put the pnp in. I wakeboard goofy but learned to surf switch bc it seems that side usually puts out the nicer wave. Hope that helps.

Nice, it looks like you'll be treating that Axis right with some top quality gear!

Nu Bu,
The only thing I'm having trouble with is the 600 watt subwoofer setup or the 1500 watt setup. Which would you recommand?
Old     (05mobiuslsv)      Join Date: Apr 2006       06-29-2011, 12:34 PM Reply
I'd go for the 1500.1 and the xi12 or big 12 without a doubt.

Congrats Matt! We bought our A22 in June 09, I have one friend waiting on the first 2012 to get to our local dealer, another one pondering the sale of his 21v, and another one so ready to jump on one I think he's having Wet dreams (lol about the lake). One thing for sure is that you absolutely will NOT regret your purchase! Axis has it going on, they have the best product combined with Malibu's top-notch customer service. Its the best wake out there for the Buck$$$ You would have to spend quite a bit more to even compete!

Great looking boat. Axis is definitely starting to grow on me although I'm not a fan of the Bimini over the tower which is minor. I think Malibu is on to something with this brand and it being so much more affordable than the "big three models." Enjoy your boat this summer!!

Sounds like you are enjoying your A20. My friend, David, has a solid white A20 with no graphics on it at all. I'll try to dig up a pic for you.

I think it would look better all white no decals IF the rub rail had a stainless insert and the ballast vents were stainless instead of black. However, that would be pricey to swap, so I say leave some graphics on it.

How do you like that windshield? I'm a fan of the old correct craft style windshield not the full wrap around.
