Hey all,
I've been shooting wake sessions up here in Minnesota for a few short months. I'm really enjoying it but I wanted to get the opinions of some more riders about what you all look for when you get your own pictures back.

I'm gonna post a few from some recent sessions and tell me which type of shots you would want to see the most of...both on a website and if they were shots of your riding given to you.

Up close, showing rider emotion and focus:

Closer...but still seeing some of the backdrop:

Way far out giving a sense of scale

The final one are my shots that Root did a really sweet job of photomerging:

If I'm missing your favorite type of shot, please let me know and I'll try getting some!

I personally like shots from a chase boat. SOmebody posted a sequence shot merged together from the shore that was insane.

Sequence shots top my list, but for a normal shot... I'd have to say the backside, and way far out look better.

Ever take any from a tube? A fish eye view is pretty gnarly.

If You really want to get good shots you need to get out of the tow boat and shoot from a chase boat, Tube or shore etc.

It really makes all the difference in the world.

I noticed that the horizon isn't level in many of the shots (I'm guilty of that too) and that is a big distraction.

That's my two cents.
