I've been thinking about getting inot surfing a lot lately. With gas prices being what they are and always having to get a crew together to WB, it just makes sense to give it a go. I've never surfed before, but I'm really comfy in the ocean swimming and what not. I'm 205lbs, what size "fun" board should I be looking at? Brands?? I don't want to go the long board route for my personal board. I'm also thinking about instruction since I really don't know anyone who surfs. Any recommendations for surf schools around Central Coast Cali? I found a few in SC which is only about an 1hr from where I'm at. Any pointers, hints, dos and don't are welcome. Thanks.

Tony
