Who has the most hours?

I wonder who has the most house on their inboard? Don't waste time with "Oh I have 350hrs." A buddy of mine has 1800 on his SANTE. Lets see if anyone beats that.

My old man has you beat..he has a moomba rollin 2500hrs. Still runs like a champ. All I can say is use your boat. My uncle bought a boat the same year and has 500hrs and is always having little problems.

I've hit 2000 hrs in an old boat, we sold it and I still see it out and about...that was 3 years ago... I cannot confirm but I bets its over 2500... it has had a rebuild though

Personally driven/ridden behind a 2001 with 2000 hrs. Started on first turn, no smoke, strong engine. regularly pulled riders w/ 1200 lbs and several ppl in the boat.

Boat engines put up with a little more abuse than vehicles, but 3000 hrs is doable IMO. Have heard of wake/ski schools maintaining a boat, but driving them into the ground. 4000 hrs before they replace the engine.

how many miles would you equate to 2500 hours (to compare to a car)?

Al, If I remember correctly I had 300 hours on my truck at 15,000 miles. So I'd guess it somewhere around 120,000.

Nacho is right, though. Boat engines definitely have a harder life than car motors. How many other V8's regularly sit at 4k rpms?

I'm sitting at 744 on a 91; 125 of which were this past year. Runs friggen awesome!

Even at 100 hours a year, which isn't much really since we can ride year round down here our boat would be over 1200. Who knows how many engines it has been through, I know of 2, including the current one. It was probably well used even before it was turned into a wake specific boat.

I'm pretty sure the guys who built it into what it is 12 years ago did a lot more than 100 hours a year. We probably did well over 100 last year, but we have no hour clock so it's hard to tell. Has seen mostly salt water for the last few years as well. First time we took her to the lake was this weekend.

A conservative guess would be around 1500, still runs pretty well, but that salt water riding has caused little problems all along the way. At the moment we have a stuck vacuum advance on the distributor and just replaced an alternator that completely rusted solid. Also been through a fair few starter motors.

a mastercraft i use to ski behind at a ski camp holds the record for the most hours in texas i believe... i dont remember the exact amount of hours, but i would have to guess about 3500... the hours add up fast when the boat runs 7+ hours a day, 5 days a week, for 12 weeks straight.

I sold an X-15 to a few guys up in Bellingham, WA and they brought it in for service after one year. Over 415 hours!!! That is the most I have ever seen in a year.

I believe Travis at the Boarding School logs about 700-800 hours a season and then he gets a new boat.

I know his old 07 X-star with MCX- blk/med blue left him at like 700 hours and has since been with a pro rider who still uses it...

I'm close to 175hrs and I bought it in July of '07 ...its only 2 seasons old...sigh...lol

Hey malibu- would that would be Muddy Moxley's Prostar 190? it had a ton of hours. That was their go to slalom boat for years. I knew it had at least 2000 hours

At Club Med we put 2,000 hours on the boats EACH YEAR!

They ran 365days/year 3 hours in the morning session, 3 hours in the afternoon session. That's why they use outboards, the motors get changed every other year.

We have managed to put 600 on a 07 star in a year and half which has been pretty awesome, its not a school boat either
