My family used to launch out of lazy M many many years ago. Then, for whatever reason, we stopped going to the delta. We'll be taking the supra out there tomorrow for the first time - launching from Orwood. Can anyone offer any pointers? Where to go? Where not to go? Things to watch out for and all that.
Don't worry delta regulars - we're don't power turn, tube...etc. Post up some tips or shoot me a PM.

Thanks

Was out last weekend, not many people out. Mostly people just cruising around. The fishermen are staying on the water later now that summer has died down. I always board the Victoria slough at Union point (should be open still too). The floating water plants are thick lately so you may need to jump around sloughs to avoid it (or just hop over them for fum). The Discovery Bay Marina only charges $10 to launch now too, but Orwood is probably your best bet to launch.
Cheers,
DC
