More and more questions, i don't really wanna rely on my drunk friends to save me (may be inevitable), but i want more movement for grabs.

#1 Will a non-USCGA vest keep you afloat while unconcious.

#2 what is the most comfortable USCGA vest

#3 how do you guys transport your boards when going to the lake, i trailer my boat and my old board got banged up a few times sitting in the boat somewhat loose. Can you have the boards in the tower racks while being trailered?

#1 No
#2 I would say the CWB Aggressor or CWB Hinge are both CGA and very flexible and cumfy and dont feel like a CGA vest. But those are the only CGA vest I have rode in.
#3 Depends on your Tower rack system. I keep mine in a board bag and it never gets messed up.
My .02 cents.

I wouldn't transport boards in the racks. We used to do it until we had a couple of really close calls with semis and just about lost the boards and the rack. Now we just unhook the rack with the boards still in it and set it down on the floor of the boat. Got to love the Monster tower quick release!

Jon,

#1- I have an A-10 vest that I love the way it fits but it does not float very well. I had to go back to a USCG.

#2- I bought the new Jetpilot core vest. Super comfy, litle bulky but I can move in all direction w/o a problem. It has a longer torso than some others. I liked the Oneil Law also but it was too short in the torso.

#3- Our boards are in board socks in the back of the truck. We drive to some far lakes too often that I would not want to leave my boards in the racks.

1. yes a ncga will keep you aflot, but only certain ones example the baller from jet pilot.

2.The cause from jetpilot, it is right in between noncga and cga

3. Ya you can keep your boards on the racks, but don't do it for far trips. if you want just buy a sock cover or a semi padded bag. i dont keep my board in a bag because i get a new one every couple months, but i would if you want to keep it safe, but dont go to overboard.

the jetpilot core vest is just a baller that is really cga approved, but he is right, super comfy
but if you want that a vest that is on the line of cga and non cga get the cause. check it out on jetpilot.com

I have the jet pilot cell block (cga). When it's wet I can barely tell I'm wearing it. It feels a bit bulky on when dry but I can't believe how perfect it fits for riding. Buy it a size smaller than you think. It was dirt cheap on ebay. You won't be able to use it as an excuse for not getting your grab on.

as for the non-cga, the gov't doesnt think it floats good enough. It might keep you out of the water, but why take the chance.

Yeah this is all great info, i always planned on getting an a-10 or a baller from jetpilot for the summer, but then i thought twice when i saw the thread where everyone listed the tricks that beat them up the most. I tow our boat with my truck and its a stick in which my best friend can't drive. So if something did happen, on our lake the cops are only out there sat/sun so i could be pretty screwed if i take a real bad fall.
