i have never had a problem w/ some dishwashing soap mixed w/ h2o. not sure the mixture ratio, but mix it so it is just slick enough to help you put your bindings on.
i've been using body wash, cause i've found that with my 2002 3060's the heal rubber looses its stick and other glued parts start to loosen with normal washing liquid. Think i'll start using the shampoo with water idea.
I think the problem with wash liquid is that its the most strong kind of liquid, compared to shampoo which is designed to be gentle on the eyes and so will be ok with your bindings.
We use a cable pulling lubricant (available from all good electrical wholesalers) its used for pulling cables in to conduits. Its more or a paste than a liquid so it spreads like icing cake disperses in water dosent harm rubber or glue and its environmentaly friendly. Plus we are tight asses and we get it for free
Dr Bronner's Liquid castile soap, peppermint is nice. It washes out pretty quick too and is a bit more environmentally friendly than dishsoap, you can eat the stuff, but don't eat it.
Used KY jelly before! Seriously, one of my Dr. buddies was telling me that that is basically what binding slime is (water soluable, doesn't breakdown latex products).
