Question...I put my '06 21V (had it for 4 weeks/13hrs)in the water today and started it. Went to put it into gear and got a clunk and the engine died. Put it back onto trailer and was hoping to find a rope or some other debris around the prop. Nothing. Have not hit/run into anything at all and the boat performed flawlessly last week end. Checked fluid levels and all are proper and the correct color. Nothing in the bilge. While on trailer I tried to turn the prop w/ trans in neutral and only got about 1/8th of a turn either way and a solid stop. Same with trans in forward or reverse gear. I am baffled. Anybody experience this?

not to me but a friend, sheared a pin or something and his locked up as well, its' repairable. sucks for the long weekend though. believe me i know how u feel,we hit something in the river tuesday, thought just the prop was bent, have now found that that shaft strut was bent, rudder mount bentand posssibly the shaft is bent also. up till 2am last nite and spent 10 hrs on it today. hopefully we can try it out tomorrow to see if vibration is bad and see if we have anymore leaks. hang in there and see if u can examine the trany to see id a pin sheared or what.

Sounds like a Walters V-drive failure, probably something came loose, wasnt't assembled properly. I've only seen one failure and the symptoms were just like you described.
