wakeskate helps a lot, u can lean the raley technique a lot safer, than take it to the wakeboard.

I am wondering why learning a Raley those dudes are twisting all up? What am I missing? Does the wake throw that twist into you?

I have not ever even tried one so don't have a clue what I am talking about but am curious.

I've seen it happen many times.

Usually it means going into protection mode. Trying to roll over onto the back to avoid a shot to the face, ribs, etc... It means you're not committed.

My buddy was doing the exact same thing. Bascially a laid out backroll. We told him to stick with it, and a month later he was doing backrolls.

Interesting...I have never heard it quite put like that "protection mode". It makes sense. I have heard the "committed" part numerous times.

I have broke 2 ribs and dislocated my shoulder learning raileys cause i would hesitate on my approach and caught a front edge on the landing... I wish i would have done it this way; probably would not have been so bad. But you have to commit... I think of it as the longer you're in the air the more time you have to get your feet back under you.

I dove into the cold delta in my skimpies and pulled a friend out of the water. Face down for a few seconds, followed by a nasty memory loss.

I think this video has inspired me to do a "learn a 360 day" when I go out with my friends this weekend. None of us are very good so it will be our first attempts at 3's. Might be kinda funny. Ha

I am truly inspired....

For those who have gone the wakeskate raley route, what is a wakeskate that edges really well and would be a good choice?

I would guess that the best wakeskate for wakeskating is NOT necessarily the best wake skate for the wakeskate raley.....
