I bought a JL audio amp (1000/1) and while it works perfect I have somehow managed to strip the hex nuts that screw down to hold both the battery and ground cable. I got one out by drilling a screw into the top of the hex and reversing the whole thing out - I have been unlucky with that method on the B+ hex nut. Does anyone have a suggestion?

What should I use once I get them out?

Can I buy a whole new 'input' section?

Could I use just regular screw to drill into the 4gauge? Not clean, but Ive already banged the drill down the side of the amp so at this point cosmetics are less important.

I'm about to sell this boat and take up chess -- most frustrating thing ever! :\

If you can't get it out, drill it and retap it for a slightly larger set screw.
