Have you tried looking on dv.com, mandy.com, etc... I don't think anyone here would have that type of glass..

Fisheye'd video is so distorted maybe Toolfan doesn't need a quality version of the FE lens to get the effect he wants. I would imagine a Century in that size is on the pricey side so it would make sense to try out a cheap one before you popped out a bunch of $ for an adapter you only use occasionally.

Rich, I'm uncorking the champagne right now. We finally see eye-to-eye on something!!!!

Im just getting one to try out. If I get close to the desired effect I am looking for, I will get one from Century Optics. I just have to have something to show the boss man to warrent the purchase.

Any of you guys going to NAB???

I hope you're popping the good stuff! Our banter is is all good whether we agree or not.

Now the Canon lens forum over at dpreview . . . that's something else!

If 82mm FE adapters are priced anything like 82mm filters $100 would be damn cheap!

hey, my question is, why not forget the fisheye and just create the effect in editing. cause once u film in fisheye its always gonna be fisheye, but if u film with the normal lens, then if u decide to create a fisheye effect you can, but if u film something and wanna keep it normal, u can do that too. just a thought

I bought a cheap fish eye from Miamiless on EBay. Something like $60 and it works just fine for the purpose I will put it to. Miamiless was great to deal with too - quick service and response to questions. Don't spend $1000's for sure!

Toolfan this might be of some interest to you (not a "true" fisheye, but super wide at 0.42x).

For everyone else looking for a fisheye they have one for DV cams (58 mm threads) for only $199.00:
