Saturday May 10th is just a few days away and DRA will open the season at Orwood resort (www.orwood resort.com). We will open registration at 8am and will pull the first rider at 9:30ish.
We are proud to announce our sponsors and Presenting this event will be Togo's, Supra, CWB, MB Sport Boats, and Red Bull. We are also supported by Hyperlite, Liquid Trends, HSE, Neptune Audio, Jet Pilot, CIE, Pro Line, Cire, Darrel Varnie Electric, West Coast Camps, WakeWorld, Buywake.com, Lords Ice Cream, Impulse Clothing, and West Side Connection.

We are adding some new scoring this season so West Coast Style will count. Prize money has increased for the open(outlaw) class and the raffle prizes will be big yet again.

I will apologize for the delay in updating the web site; we have had some issues with getting a web guy dialed in. All the current info is in process.

Question: How are boats coming in and out of Orwood with the contest going on?

Should I send people to Disco to launch to not mess up the water for the comp?
Old     (deltariderscom)      Join Date: May 2007       05-09-2008, 7:32 AM Reply
It would be the quickest way for boats to get out. We do a little traffic control during the event or you can go under the bridge if your launching at Orwood. There generally is only a 5 min to 10 min delay between riders if you are coming through the course.

G Money....Billy has the banners and your radios.

Your DRA banner appears to have been jacked from the SR. Sorry bro.

Hey if its at orwood, where can we watch from, and is there anywhere to park a boat? Ive been to the Union Pt. comps, but not the orwood ones so im not familiar with the layout. I know orwood well, but i cant figure out where people would tie up boats at?
Old     (wakebrdmom)      Join Date: Mar 2006       05-09-2008, 10:23 AM Reply
No boat viewing at Orwood. The levy provides great viewing.

Jimmy we watch from the shore not really any good spots to tie up. Not really a drive the boat to the comp situation.

Not sure what happened to Tony. The word I heard was he was coming. He might have gone to Graduwaketion. We will be heading to Villa Lagos on June 14th for Stop #2. Guys wanting to claim Chris's Crown should make all the events the points are going to matter.

Congrats to Josh, not only did he stand-up his run but with his trick list he would have been right in there at any of the Delta tournaments I've been to over the years - a well earned victory!

I just want to thank EVERYONE for supporting us in our Third Season. It is hard work, but after seeing these posts, it makes it well worth it. We're looking forward to Villa Logas, although it's not at the Delta, (due to Tow Zone Restrictions) we promise every event will be bigger and better! Again, thanks for everyone's support, help and most of all the rider's. Without you guys, these events would not happen.
