Since I have my wake dialed in, I decided it was time for a new board. I like my Broadcast, but I don't find it very maneuverable. I am looking for some suggestions. I am still new to this sport, but I can find myself quickly becoming addicted. I would appreciate any input. I am 5'11" and weigh between 170-180.

I wish there was a local place to demo boards, but I have not found it yet in MD or VA.

Most shops only offer boards like hyperlight and liqued force to demo, so there not much help. I dont no what kind of board you intrested, but if your looking for a good deal im selling my slightly used board you can see it in the wakesurfing a Sanger V237 thread, im about the same size as you and it fits me perfectly. the boards its green. theres alot of threads on board selection just take a look at some of them it should help you out.

What sort of things do you want your board to be capable of doing? Do you want to try for air? Spins? Do you want a surf style board that will carve faster/harder? These are some of the questions we need ansewered first.

I would take some air over the spins.

The Ideal Surfboard Quiver thread has some recommendations for boards. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87668/574626.html?1209680701 If you are looking for air, you probably should be looking at a "surf" type board with big fins.

I hear nothing but good about the Shred Stix Thresher which is why its the next board I'm buying. It is a surf style board as RG mentioned and is supposed to be a good board for people in your weight range. I've debated between a Walker Project bullet and the Thresher and have decided on the Thresher due to the fact that I'm intimidated by the custom fit of the Walker. I don't know enough of what I like and don't like in a board to customize one to my liking. The Thresher seems to be good for a variety of riders so it seems less likely that I could screw it up. My 2 cents.
