Hey guys, I want to do an out of bounds photo in photoshop but I can't find a good tutorial. Anybody know of any?

Actually I found a guy on flickr who did a PDF tutorial. It's really good. Here's my first two attempts:

Do you have the address for the tutorial?

Well done Ronia...those shots are sweet...especially the snowboarder. Blow that bad boy up and put it on a wall somewhere :-)

Thanks Loren. I don't think I got the crop just right so I'm going to rework it tonight. Appreciate the feedback though.

Great effect Jakober...I just wish there was a little more headspace, the crop feels a little too tight to me.

Nice work guys ! I like the background on your shot Jakober.
Old     (helix_rider)      Join Date: Mar 2003       10-29-2008, 10:03 AM Reply
Jakober...you could probably increase the 'height' of the pictures since almost all of it is plain orange 'background'...then simply clone the rope through the 'new' area to give it a bit more space. I still love it though.

Loren,

I was actually sitting around last night and realized how stupid what I said was. I mean this is PhotoShop, I should be able to fix it. So what you suggested is exactly what I did!

Would it be too much to ask someone to do one for me if I sent them a pic?

Thanks, Tim

How do you get the edges of the photo so clean?
Old     (jjakober)      Join Date: Apr 2002       11-12-2008, 7:22 AM Reply
I usually layer mask them out by hand, but sometimes use the magnetic lasso tool.
