LED Downlight on Tower Speakers- what good is it?

Considering buying the new Skylon Deafcon V tower speakers and it is offered with a blue LED downlight option. I can not find any info on this - is this a good thing and what is it for. Is it just to light up the interior of the boat and look cool or does it have a useful purpose?

we have them on our supra and they work very well for lighting up the inside of the boat. Plus they look sweet at night.

Thanks Tyler - I eventually called Skylon and they told me just what you said. They do provide some light in the boat but my take is it probably mostly for the cool effect they provide.
