What is this speaker? I did not see it on the website. I saw the addictions, the entity 8 and 10's and something that looked like a double addiction in the pleasanton boat show pics thread.

The "double addiction" is the Tyrant. Basically all of the 1010 components in a smaller, cleaner form factor that weighs quite a bit less than a set of 1010's. (maybe 17lbs less?) It's one addiction (10" driver with horn shooting through) and an additional 10" driver. They look & sound awesome.

NVS continues to pump out all kinds of cool new stuff.

The Tyrant allows you to have all of the benefits of the 1010 with less tower space. It is very clean looking from both the front and the back.

The new board racks are brilliant also.

Does anyone know if the tyrants use the same mounting plate as the 1010's? I really like the quick release bracket I have now for my 1010's.

NVS has all new clamps. Not sure if you can swap old with new. I would call Todd or Duane.

How much strain is it to have 2 of those on a tower? I have a pair of Addictions and those put a fair amount of stress as is.

Does anyone know if those board racks can be mounted on anything other than a vertical bar?

I saw that wakeside.com was selling them at MSRP.

NVS has a show special = 15% discount. If you visit the booth and put your name on their list, they will hold that price up to 2 weeks after the show is over. I'd say that's a sweet deal!!

Back to the point of the thread, I am sure the Tyrants will sound awesome. I have addictions and almost wish I could have seen this coming.

talltige- leaning that way. Still shooting for a demo this Friday or Saturday. I just can't get over all of the room in the 247. Unless it turns out to be a dog in the water, I think it'll be the one. I'll be sure to complete that thread with pictures and details, not everyone will be happy.

Time frame:Please understand that although the Illusion X is growing in numbers on the planet, it still is a smaller segment of the current market. Configuring to this and the other Metcraft and Comp Products are just around the corner. (in NVS speak thats like less then 6 weeks)
